About Ben
I believe that change is a constant. Approached with intention and care, we can influence the outcomes of change in positive ways, resulting in more buy-in, readier acceptance, and unanticipated benefits.
I’m a Prosci®-certified change management consultant with over 20 years of experience in change facilitation, project management, learning & development, and information design.
In past incarnations, I’ve been a life coach, written advertising copy and technical content, managed a coffee shop and been a professional wholesale coffee roaster, and served as a camp counselor for at-risk youth. Currently, I run the Better Dads Project here in Central Oregon (betterdadsproject.com).
I am passionate about people, and believe that creating safe spaces for necessary conversations results in better outcomes for everyone. My personal journey and participation in men’s work has shown me the importance of aligning to one’s mission and values, and how doing so makes everything else easier.
Why KIMO?
When I was working with First Hawaiian Bank on a branch-wide software update during the pandemic, “Kimo” was the nickname I was given by my teammates. Kimo is the brother you want by your side when things are hard. That’s an image of myself I strive to meet.
(And yes, it sounds like “chemo.” But when faced with hard choices, chemo can save your life. When faced with big changes, KIMO can help.)
